An… aftertaste of things that came?

Some sort of time warp brought us to catalog number SHM086. I think that there was supposed to be a K.H.D. number in there? Don’t worry. Well get back to it when the wiggly time is right. Until then? Enjoy this new release from Shyft! The experimentation continues with these two tracks brewed from hard edged darkness and wide-eyed strange-iosity. Click the cover image above to have a listen and a down load. It’s cheapest there, but you can also reach it through major digital retailers, and, like, stream it on Spotify and junk. In case you missed it, Volume 1 is still hanging around too.

This time it was dark and vicious again. For next time, expect some thing different. During the second week of October, a brighter, more uplifting set of experiments will be storming the gates of audio paradise, and this time around there will be three tracks, the third being an ethereal gabber piece in multiple movements. Hardcore has been ripping off classical anthems for years, so who says there’s no room for an original piece that progresses through stages as such? Stay tuned, and scream, if you like cookies.

Here come the gabber mixes

As said, here it be. The Zarkerovense remix that you may have heard a sneak preview of last year made it. K.H.D. was responsible for that of course. Imil and 1nsane returned after long silences on SHM to tackle Ankh’s Terror and New. Dustrict answered the call with a heavy tune much more on the jungle side, but with its industrial build up it fits in fine. Shyft took two tracks as well, totaling six gabber remixes of industrial-metal-themed Red Ankh tracks. Sound familiar? Good. You belong here.  Click the image above or here and enjoy this free release!

K.H.D.’s seven-track Mind is out now!

Heeere comes a new brilliant K.H.D. hard core release! Mind is seven original tracks, starting with a ten minute progressive epic and ending with a smooth drum and bass tune. Get it for free or pay what you think it’s worth here or by clicking the image above.

In addition, the release dates for Shyft’s Synthetic Experiments Volume 1, Red Ankh Shadow Deluxe edition, and Red Ankh Gray Deluxe edition have been fixed at April thirtieth, March thirteenth, and March seventeenth respectively. Again, Red Ankh Gray: The Gabber Mixes will hopefully be prepared in early April.

Johan Jello’s first release on Shyfted Minds

Johan Jello’s first release, Augmentation EP, is now available on Shyfted Minds Records! This two track EP features just the kind of atypical hard core sound that Shyfted Minds strives to make available against the expected mainstyle, dark core, and cross breed. Click the image above to down load it for free!

In other news, Red Ankh‘s new double album with an orientation of darkness and symphonic composition is approaching completion, taking inspiration from acts like Dimmu Borgir, old Tristania and Sirenia, but still with moments of the typical uplifting Red Ankh sound.  Predaking is working on a new four track release under his Divebomb alias, and K.H.D. is of course pumping out new tracks to be connected in a release sooner or later.

How awful how artists must live the regular lives of real people!  Activity here at Shyfted Minds has been slow to stagnant lately, as many of us have been putting more time in to our other responsibilities.  As owner, Shyft takes the blame, as he has been rather… troubled, let us say.  On top of that, the need for a new job and possibly switching academic paths has been taking priority over music, but we have no intention of quitting!  Things are slowly working toward stability once again, and you can expect new great things from this organization beyond that point.

K.H.D. and Dustrict release split EP

We have all been rather busy with our regular lives here at Shyfted Minds lately, but K.H.D. and Dustrict managed to pump out this two original, two remix track EP for your listening pleasure! Click the image above to stream and acquire it in your choice of digital audio format.

Shyft is struggling to find the time and patience to tweak the mix of and master Predaking’s new album. I’d wager this week or the first week of next month will mark it’s completion, but time keeps slipping away lately. There is still Johan Jello’s new EP to master and release as well!

In other news, physical merchandise such as shirts, stickers, and select physical CDs should be available soon through the Shyfted Minds website. If you’re clever and determined, you should already be able to find them on your own!

At long last, Shyft releases a new hardcore/gabber full-length album

Huzzah! A new half darkcore and crossbreed/half nu-style album (above promo mix courtesy of K.H.D..  Shyft feels so accomplished, finally back on track. Get your copies and/or stream the full album here and be sure to read the album description!  Again, I’m asking for a few dollars for this one on Bandcamp, and, if you think it’s worth more, please modify payment to suit.  The title track is available for free (no minimum)!

Shyfted Minds is hosted on a registered domain now, which costs money, and, if my work isn’t valued in this way for much longer, I won’t be able to justify pouring so many hours of the day in to it any longer- which is sad!  But alas, adult humans gotta feed their selves.  Asking for help is difficult for me, and asking for money makes me feel like kind of an ass hole.  If you agree, look the release up on The Pirate Bay or Gabber.od.ua in a couple of days or so.

New Releases Very Soon

‘My Webbing Come Undone’ is a symphonic break core track by Shyft written years ago for an album that never got a proper release.  That symphonic break core album, entitled ‘Her Dark Square’, was remixed and remastered last November.  Now, one remix of the four track remix EP for My Webbing Come Undone still needs new mastering, and then that will be complete and the release of both the album and the remix EP will launch, possibly next week.

Surprise!  For the first time in three years, Shyft is nearly prepared to release a new gabber solo album, with six completed tracks and four nearly completed tracks.  This album is to be simply called ‘HonoR’.  Five are dark core or cross breed.  Five are more ‘mainstyle’, sporting catchy yet complex melodies and harmonies.  The title track is a mixture of both.  This album will feature a new version of an old favorite.  Shyft’s primary goal for this week- his spring break- is to finish these tracks.

Finally, ‘Gray’, the industrial metal double album by Red Ankh, is complete.  Expect release of it by some time next week.

The Dustrict and Wizzort album is in its final stages.  Expect industrial, hard core, cross breed

The Predaking album has just a few tracks remaining to be finished, and is now going to feature a second ‘disk’ full of remixes.  Fast, melodic gabber on its way!

Johan Jello has finished his first two track gabber EP, and as all these other projects come together, this will get mastered and released.

Stay tuned.  Things are changing quickly around here now.
